How to stay motivated

Being motivated and focused to keep going and feeling positive is very important in life. Life has its ups and downs, laughter and sorrow, fun and boredom, creativity and trivia. But the most important thing to is feel motivated and focused on a regular basis. In today’s post I write about 10 simple tips to stay motivated. So read on!

What is motivation? Motivation is positivity that keeps you going. Motivation may help you start or persist with something, and not give up easily. We all need motivation and positivity in our lives. We need to live our life with hope, aspirations, inspirations and motivation.

10 tips to stay motivated

  1. Have an attitude of gratitude

Your attitude can make a huge difference in your perspective. Being thankful and having an attitude of gratitude makes you humble, happy and motivated. It is not how much you have but rather how you feel about the things you have, that leads to self contentment and positivity. Counting your blessings daily and being grateful are great ways to begin your motivational journey today. Journaling is an example of writing your weekly or daily gratitude on paper. 2. Be positive

Positivity is looking at everything with hope and learning from any hurdle or failure. Positivity keeps us going as we do not give up easily and find good in every situation in life by accepting things as they come. 3. Count your blessings

Counting your blessings go hand in hand with having an attitude of gratitude. Not looking at lack but at abundance and feeling hopeful can make a tremendous impact on our mind set. Read this post about Counting your blessings.

4. Look for miracles every day

Miracles come in small packages. It does not have to be big things but finding small miracles and encouragements around you on a daily basis can keep you highly motivated. Read this post about Look for miracles every day.

5. Find your passion

If you feel your life is becoming monotonous with the same routine, pause and pursue a passion to brighten your routine. Passion is something you love to do and can add motivation to your life. Volunteering, playing an instrument, learning a skill, traveling, cooking and blogging are some examples of finding something you thoroughly enjoy and pursuing it. 6. Love what you do

Find ways to do what you love and create a mindset where you love what you do! You may be stuck at a job or home chore that you may not love, so find something that you can do on a daily basis that you truly enjoy. Developing an attitude where you start loving what you do is priceless. Try to make a balance between simple acts you love doing and some things you have to do that you can start loving. 7. Take time to give back

Every person is different but I find a great fulfillment in giving back to the community and this keeps my motivation high when I may be feeling low or stuck in the grind. Giving back does not have to be on a weekly or even monthly basis. Look for occasions or spare time to give back, whether it is summer break or thanksgiving or Christmas time. 8. Make small goals and pursue them

Whether you are stay at home mom or work from home mom or working outside full time, making agenda and small goals on a regular basis can keep you focused and motivated. These reachable goals make you feel accomplished and can help you keep going forward in life. 9. Be kind and spread cheer

10. Grow your faith

Having a faith or belief in a higher power can keep you grounded. You will come to realize that not everything is in your control, but continue having the belief that things will work out for you as God is on your side. Faith makes a person stronger and motivated to face whatever comes in life.

That’s so true. When we start a new project, and things don’t go well, people tend to loose motivation. It’s a battle of perseverance to progress and succeed.

Love this! I certainly find that positivity is key for me. I also loved the quote “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” by Robert Collier. So true!

These are all great tips! For me, setting goals is extremely important. I will not stay motivated if I do not have goals!
