Today’s post is about motivating each one of us to feel the blessings in our life every day! We should live each day with hope and positivity. We should try to look for miracles every single day.
As it is said, what you think, say, hope or believe is going to come true. So instead of living in fear, uncertainty, despair or doubt, we should do the opposite by living in joy. No day is ordinary. Every day is extraordinary and special, and we should believe so with all our heart. Live simply and dream big. Live as if there is no tomorrow, and enjoy every single moment as if it could be our last.
My experience
Growing up, I was like any other teen or young adult. I did my daily work duties and looked forward to weekends or any fun events coming up. I enjoyed living in anticipation more than living in the moment. Fridays were cheerful, Saturdays were relaxing, but by Sunday afternoon or evening, a little stress would creep in knowing that Monday is coming up. I never really liked Sunday evenings till recently where I have realized to start to live in the present and enjoy each day as it comes. I remember not doing any activities on Sunday afternoon onwards including going out, meeting up with anyone or even doing grocery shopping. I would cook and try to get ready for the week ahead. I have since then realized that planning ahead is not bad, but to live in future or in your plans is not good enough. To enjoy life and to get the best out of it, being mindful and appreciating good things around you are very important.
My miracles tracking
We all have miracles happening with us or to us regularly. I do not think there is such thing as luck or coincidence or by-chance happenings or a lucky break. I believe here is where our positivity and our thoughts bring up what we envision. If you look for good things, you will find good things. If you look for worries or disappointments, they will surely find you. So it is very important to have this mind set where you are deliberate, mindful and chose your own thoughts and actions.
Since I thought about writing this post, I deliberatively started to look for miracles every day. Daily I made notes and kept reminding myself to find something special. Below is my weekly miracles which I recorded for myself so as not to forget later.
1/13- found my missing flash drive and the lesson plan folder I had taken home for the winter break
I was looking for both of these since January 4th when I started going back to work after the two weeks winter break. I had to make my lesson plans from scratch for the next week as I thought I had lost my old plans and resources. I was looking again this day and found the flash drive in a small pocket of my laptop bag, and the lesson plan folder neatly crushed between my two Science textbooks. What a relief!
1/14- a colleague showing appreciation and care
I am in small setting of a school and due to the pandemic our interactions have been reduced and minimized. Today morning while clocking in, I caught up with a colleague and early in the day found my small miracle in the form of words of care and compassion.
1/15- my senior received acceptance letter with merit scholarship
She completed all her college applications in December and so far has heard back from few colleges already. The merit scholarships awarded have been between 40K to 132K for 4 years. Although she has not made her decision yet, it is such a miracle to be encouraged and to be accepted to receive a personalized acceptance video, T shirt, journal and stickers!
1/16- leave everything in HIS hands. I thought I had sent an email by mistake but the responses back cleared that I was not wrong.
Not to go in to too much detail, this was about trying to recall an email that I sent to my work colleagues thinking something was written in mistake, only to get the response back that all is well.
1/17- hubby cooked elaborate dinner for no reason and without being asked.
My husband of 18 years who is also my high school sweetheart is a great cook. He like to make dinner some weekends. My miracle today was a big hearty meal made by him for all four of us!
1/18- a decision about blogging made easy.
I have been thinking for almost a week whether to take this particular sponsored opportunity or not, but today my mind got cleared and I made the decision not to (time consuming and too elaborate). Always a miracle to get an answer instead of being confused about which choice to make.
1/19- thankful for the 3 days long weekend. A day of quiet is indeed a miracle!
Yes, I write this on a Tuesday about my relaxing three days stay at home with family and literally doing nothing
1/20- very productive day at work. Completed a 2 hours online training and other teacher assignment worth couple hours!
Constructive work is always fulfilling and rewarding. This was a day of achievement for me!
1/21- started writing this blog post today after completing the past 8 days of reflecting on small miracles in my life.
As you can see, miracles or joys do not have to be big. In fact I think it is the small every day things that brings the most happiness to us.
What can we do
The one thing we all can try to do is feel encouraged and bring more positivity into our lives. People who have a growth mindset where they believe that their talents can be developed are more successful than people with fixed mindset. Before you see something, you have to believe it.
Here are some motivational quotes to help you see miracles all around you every day-
When God doesn’t grant your miracles, remember that you are the miracle he sent for somebody else.
Nick Vujicic
Life is a series of thousands of tiny miracles. Notice them.

It is the quiet multitude of little miracles that makes life sweet.
Marjorie P. Hinckley
Miracles don’t happen to you. They happen through you.
Mary Davis
A gentle word, a kind look, a good-natured smile can work wonders and accomplish miracles.
William Hazlitt
Miracles, in the sense of phenomena we cannot explain, surround us on every hand, life itself is the miracle of miracles.
George Bernard Shaw
In conclusion
To conclude, enjoy life by living in present and expecting your life to be great. Look for miracles every day, and try to do good to be a miracle to some one else.

Thank you for this wonderful reminder of always looking at things with a balanced perspective. Our days will always be made up of both bad and good experiences. We should make a conscious effort to see the bright side of our days.
Beautiful thought!
Sometimes we all forget to actually live in the Present and get stressed about the future… The Present moment is all that matters..great reminder!

When you train your mind to look at the positives in life, everything just rolls into place naturally.
I truly believe in miracles! I think it’s a great practice to look for miracles that may happen and to think positive every day, all day long if possible! Life itself is a miracle ; )
Awesome topic!
Very nice. Indeed, life is full of small and big miracles. Sometimes, we just look for the big ones to be truly enthralled. But the little ones matter a lot, too. <3
These are great reminders, every day seems like we face a new challenge and some days it is hard not get down in the dumps and lose sight of all the good still out there.
Great post! I agree, no day is exactly the same and we should always look for and appreciate good things that happen.
Aww this is such a great way to go through live. Counting miracles is so much better than keeping track of the bad stuff.
Yes, yes, and yes! This reminded me of a book I read years ago called Miracles Now by Gabby Bernstein. Miracles happen to us everyday. We just have to be in sync with the universe in order to find them and embrace them.
I love those inspiring quotes! It’s important to aware of the miracles that are happening around us daily all the time. Great post!
I like the idea of looking for blessing and miracles in our daily lives. If we look for them we will find them.
This is a beautiful reminder to look for the simple joys in life. It’s there — every single day.
Such a great way to keep a positive attitude! There are definitely miracles to find everyday 🙂
Thank you for sharing this. We should all look at life this way!
I often feel the miracles of daily life through simple joys. Although the best things in life seem to be the most hard to get, being grateful, we can all feel at our best with the small yet great things.
Yes totally agree, Shar!
